The Atlas Copco SF4+ Full Feature (8153611796) is an oil-free scroll air compressor with an integrated refrigerant dryer, built for workplaces that need a clean, dry compressed air supply with no risk of oil contamination. Because it is oil-free, no lubricant ever touches the compression chamber, so the air it delivers stays free of oil carry-over.

Compression is handled by a scroll element, in which a fixed spiral and an orbiting spiral interleave to trap air and squeeze it into a progressively smaller pocket before it leaves through a port at the center. The motion is continuous, so the air leaves the element smoothly and pulse-free. The Full Feature designation means a refrigerant dryer is built into the package: this compressed air dryer chills the air to condense out water vapor and drains that condensate (the liquid water that forms) away, so the air reaching your tools and processes is dry as well as oil-free.

This unit delivers 14.3 cfm (6.7 l/s) at 100 psi (6.9 bar), driven by a 5 hp (4 kW) motor. The motor is an IE3, totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) type. IE3 is the international premium-efficiency class, which helps keep running costs down over the life of the machine, and TEFC means the motor is sealed against the surrounding air and cooled by its own fan. It is a floor-mount unit rather than a tank-mounted one, so we recommend installing it with a separate air receiver (a storage tank) to steady the supply and reduce how often the compressor cycles.
